Special workshop!! Introduction to Free Weight Training!

  •   Do you want to join a gym but feel intimidated or overwhelmed by all the equipment? 
  •  Have you been using primarily machines but would like to learn new exercises?  
  •   Have you been using free weights but you’re not getting the results you want or you are not quite sure if you are doing it correctly?

Brandi will give you a tour of the gym in this special introductory presentation on how to use Free Weights in a safe and effective manner. You will be shown at least 3 to 5 exercises per body part that you can do on your own.  The lessons will be highlighting proper form, technique, detailing the most common errors and mistakes, and giving you the opportunity to experience one on one coaching without the cost of personal training sessions.

The topics covered in this workshop will be:

 -Proper terminology of equipment

-Terminology of exercises and training

-How to perform a proper warm-up and cool-down

-The difference between compound and isolation exercises

-How to work different reps and set schemes.

Demonstration and explanation of 3-5 exercises for the following:

-Legs

-Chest

-Back

-Shoulders

-Arms

-Abdominals and Core

-Question and answer session

 REGISTRATION WILL BE LIMITED TO 10 PEOPLE ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS.

 This workshop will take place at the Londonderry Recreation Centre on Sunday March 27 at 2:00pm, and will run for approximately 2 hours.

The rates are:

$45 Workshop fee to be paid by cheque or cash to Cutting Edge Fitness. Receipts will be provided.

+$5.40 entry fee to the facility
